Delete Your Data
Oh My Sum! by AlrightMyLover
Oh My Sum! works without an account. If you signed in with Google Play Games, you can delete your account yourself in the game, which deletes your Play Games details, saved game, coin history and purchase records from our server. Apart from that, if you said yes to sharing stats, we hold gameplay stats tagged with a random ID. The ID isn't your name or your Google account, and we never link the stats to your account. We delete them automatically after about 3 months. Here's how to delete everything.
1. Delete your account (if you signed in)
In the game, open Settings → Manage → Delete my account and confirm. (Manage is next to your name.) Everything your account held is deleted from our server straight away, and from our hosting provider's backups within 30 days. The one thing we keep is a scrambled (one-way hashed) copy of your Play Games player ID, which can't be turned back into the ID, only so the one-off 50-coin sign-in bonus isn't paid again if you sign in later. Your phone keeps its progress and carries on as a guest.
This can't be undone: the saved progress and coins in your account, including coins you bought, are gone for good.
If you no longer have the game installed, email dpo@ohmysum.games with the subject "Account deletion request" and your Google Play Games display name. We'll ask you to confirm it's your account, for example by telling us roughly when you signed in and your progress, before deleting anything. Then we'll delete the account within one month.
An account that goes 12 months without being used is deleted automatically, with its cloud save and coin history.
2. Stop sharing stats
Stats are only shared if you said yes when the game asked. To stop, open Settings in the game and switch off "Share gameplay stats". Nothing more is sent from then on, any stats waiting to be sent are thrown away, and the random ID is deleted from your phone.
3. Delete the data on your phone
Your progress, coins and settings are also kept on your phone. To delete them, uninstall the game, or go to Settings → Apps → Oh My Sum! → Storage → Clear storage on your phone. This also deletes the random IDs (for stats and for purchase checks), so a reinstall starts afresh.
This can't be undone: your levels, coins and stickers will be gone for good.
4. Ask us to delete what we hold
Email dpo@ohmysum.games with the subject "Data deletion request". We'll reply within one month.
Because the stats aren't linked to your name, email or device, we usually can't tell which records are yours. If we can't find them, they will still be deleted automatically within about 3 months of being sent. If you've emailed us before, we'll also delete those emails.
What gets deleted, and what's kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Gameplay stats, only if you said yes (random ID, game events including the digits of each hit, app version, platform, country) | Deleted automatically after about 3 months. Totals and averages that can't be linked to anyone may be kept. |
| Your account: Play Games player ID, display name, profile picture link, saved game, coin history (including hashed purchase tokens) and sign-in keys | Deleted when you delete your account in the game, on request by email, or after 12 months without being used. Gone from our server straight away and from backups within 30 days. A sign-in key on its own is deleted after 180 days without being used. |
| Purchase records for guests (hashed purchase token, random purchase-check ID, pack and time) | Deleted automatically after 30 days. |
| Progress, coins and settings on your phone | Deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its storage. |
| Emails you've sent us | Deleted on request, unless we need to keep them by law. |
| Your Google Play Games profile, and purchase records held by Google Play | Held by Google, not us. See Google's data and privacy settings. |
